Hi, friends! As I’m sure a lot of you have seen on social media the seasonal subscription box, FabFitFun, has become widely popular among bloggers, social media influencers, YouTubers, and celebrities. After a long debate on whether or not I wanted to invest in a box, I decided that I had to join the trend to see what all the hype was about. I decided to treat myself – like always! I ordered my first box this spring and it was like Christmas morning when I got my box in the mail. If you’ve never heard of FabFitFun, the company itself describes the subscription box as “a box of fabulous finds in beauty, wellness, fashion, and fitness －hand-picked by the FabFitFun team! Each box will contain $200+ in retail value. You will receive a Seasonal Box (4) four times per year.” I received my box (I was sent the ‘Editor’s Box’) at the beginning of this month and decided to test out the products so I could share my experience here on the blog. I got to choose a few of the products that were put in my box, but the rest was left a surprise. The strangest part about this process was that FabFitFun sent me products I didn’t know that I desperately needed in my life! Even better, the products are always full-size. I chose a few of my favorite products from my spring box to talk about and then the rest will be linked at the end.
tarte, drink of H20
In my April Favorites blog, I talked about my current favorite moisturizer, but I think the tarte™ Rainforest of the Sea™ drink of H2O hydrating boost is going to be my go-to moisturizer for the summer months. This hydrating moisturizing boost is hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, and makes my skin feel super soft before applying any type of face makeup. Not to mention, the packaging is super cute and looks good sitting on my desk with other products. I probably wouldn’t have tried this product if I saw it in stores, so I’m happy that it was gifted in my box this month.
Murad, Renewing Eye Cream
Similar to my moisturizer, I talked about my favorite eye cream in my April Favorites blog, so it’s like FabFitFun knew that I was a fan of trying out different eye creams for my ALWAYS dark under eyes (not cute). The Murad® Renewing Eye Cream suggest using this product for A.M. and P.M. uses, but I just stick to using eye creams at night. I’ve noticed a subtle difference since I started using this product at the beginning of the month, so I’ll see what happens once I’ve used the product fully (I’m sure being on summer break helps to rejuvenate my under eyes from the stress they went through this last semester lol).
Lavido, Aromatic Body Lotion
First of all, I love the packaging and the smell of the Lavido Aromatic Body Lotion in Mandarin, Orange & Bergamot! I was a little apprehensive about the orange/citrus scent, but I’ve loved bringing this to work with me. It smells exactly like summer! Now that I’m lifeguarding again, my skin gets dried out by the chlorine in the pool, so it’s been nice to have this in my bag. I’ve never heard of this brand, so I would say that’s another cool thing about FabFitFun – this subscription box introduces its customers to brands that are either well-established, newer, or up and coming.
AHAVA, Dermud Intensive Foot Cream
Ok, so I have a short story to go along with this product. When I was opening my box, my sister noticed the brand AHAVA and freaked out because she thought that I had gotten one of their deadsea mud masks. Well, considering my sister knows way more about makeup and skincare than I do, I just went with the idea that this was a face mask. I didn’t realize that this product was foot cream until 2.5 seconds before applying it to my face… needless to say, I was shocked to look down and read “intensive foot cream.” LOL I can’t stop laughing about this moment. I remember literally being mortified that I was given foot cream. Not to be rude, but I just associate foot cream with the elderly… Is that bad? Anyways, I ended up trying the product and now I’m obsessed! The AHAVA Leave-On Deadsea Mud Dermud Intensive Foot Cream is a holy grail product. My feet have never been softer. I usually put the cream on at night and then slip a pair of socks on to preserve the effects. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but this foot cream is a game changer.
summer & rose, Celine Trinket Dish
I was so excited to unbox the Celine Trinket Dish from Summer&Rose! Summer&Rose is another brand that I hadn’t heard of before receiving my FabFitFub box, but I love the brand’s aesthetics. I went on to their website and they have everything from fashion, jewlery, home decor, purses, and other accessories. I love the look of decorative dishes/trays – I have a mirror tray from T.J.Maxx that holds my lotions and perfumes and then I have a smaller dish from Urban Outfitters that holds some of my favorite jewelry pieces. I love the blush pink coloring on my Celine dish and she makes a perfection addition to my collection.
I’ve linked the last three products that I received in my box below. I can’t wait to use my new beach towel and gym bag this summer. I’m also interested in testing out the nail and cuticle serum. I’m hoping that will help my nails last longer between nail appointments!
Oh! I almost forgot that I also received a giftcard for $50 towards my first 6 meals from Hello Fresh. I just received my first three meals, so updates to come!
I am officially convinced that FabFitFun is worth the price. My box was valued at $249, but I paied $29.99 because I used a code from one of my favorite influencers. I feel like this is definitely a “treat yourself” kind of subscription, but who wouldn’t want it to feel like Christmas four times a year?! I like the idea that FabFitFun introduces their customers to start-up brands and even well-known companies for further advertisement. I’m getting ready to order my summer box and I can’t wait to see what new products I’ll be able to test out all summer.
I have a referal link that will give you $10 off your first box as a new FabFitFun member so that you can try it too! click the link, https://share.fabfitfun.com/x/6STkwn and get your first box for $39.99.
